Just like their parents, kids are turning to yoga to help them relax. Yoga helps children develop a better body awareness, self-control, flexibility and coordination. Yoga has also been shown to help the hyperactive and attention-deficit child. These children crave movement and sensory/motor stimulus. Yoga helps channel these impulses in a positive way. Yoga is a great gift to give your child. Bring a mat and water bottle.
These classes introduce a structured environment allowing children to recognize their own individuality and body mobiity. Focus on coordination and rhythm is introduced in creative and imaginative ways, keeping students entertained shile learning beginning dance skills will help them acquire a love for dance. Students need to wear a black leotard with pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Boys may wear a white t-shirt, black sweatpants or shorts, and black ballet shoes. A copy of a birth certificate must be provided for first time participants.
This after school dance fitness program is a fun fusion of the latest dance styles and music. We dance, sweat and most importantly, we have fun! Get funky and move with attitude! We learn new steps, create our own dance and work together as a team-including a performance on the last day of class. Bring a water bottle and peanut-free snack. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.

Lessons are offered to anyone who has an interest in learning an instrument or getting back into playing. Instruments offered: Voice, Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Saxophone, Violin, Cello, Ukulele, Banjo and many more! Lessons culminate in an optional performance opportunity in April. The day and time for the class will be coordinated with The Real School once registered.
The Art & Design Club gives kids who love to draw, paint and sculpt, a place and time to be with their artist peers, to learn, imagine and create their own unique works of art. The materials exploration will include clay, papier-mache, adhesives, paint, ink, and more so please wear an art smock or old clothes. A $24 materials fee is due the first class.
If your child loves books and art, then this is the class for them! Each week in Art & Literature for the Young Artist, children will explore the literature of well known authors and illustrators such as Eric Carle and Maurice Sendak. They will be introduced to elements of art and design and create 2-D and 3-D works of art using different mediums such as clay, watercolor paints, acrylic and/or tempera paints, and a variety of sculpture materials. Ms. Cate provides smocks, but please dress in old clothes.
In this class, you'll explore and create artwork by drawing, painting, working with clay, printmaking, and collage. You'll look at art reproductions done by famous artists and be inspired to create art work of your own. You'll be introduced to different cultures around the world, see how they create different works of art and travel outdoors to inspire your own inner artist. Bring your imagination and get ready for a creative journey! To celebrate student work, there will be a collective art show this spring. Ms Cate provides smocks, but please dress in old clothes.

Students will learn chess strategies and tactics and play matches to apply what they've learned. A tournament will be held at the end of the session. No experience necessary!
An introductory karate program which teaches proper stance, breathing, how to stretch, self-discipline, coordination, and practical self-defense. In addition, the classes cover health, nutrition, fire safety, and stranger awareness.
